Xiangchen Sun

SUN Xiangchen is Distinguished Professor at Fudan University. His research areas include Levinas philosophy, Jewish-Christian philosophy, and modern Western political philosophy, etc. In recent years, he has promoted Chinese-language philosophy, family philosophy, which have caused great repercussions in the Chinese academic community. His books include: On Family: Individual and Affection for Kin(Qinqin) (2019), Facing the Other:On Levinas’ Philosophical thought (2008), Political Philosophy and Sino-Theology (co-author, 2007) , Metaphysics in the 17th Century (co-author, 2006), etc. He also serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the International Federation of Philosophical Organizations, a member of the Council of the World Congress of Sinology, the vice-chairman of the Chinese Society for the History of Western Philosophy; he is also the co-chief-editor of Journal of Modern Foreign Philosophy and the journal General Education Review.
