Thomas Kurer is a Berggruen Fellow exploring the explanatory power of differentiating relative and absolute economic hardship when it comes to disentangling voters’ motives to support either left-wing or right-wing populism at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University. He is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Zurich and holds a PhD from University of Zurich
