Future Wunderkammer is a trilogy of short philosophical volumes produced by Future Humans, an initiative of the Berggruen Institute exploring how ideas of life, intelligence, and consciousness are being reshaped in the twenty-first century.

Inspired by the early modern Wunderkammer, or cabinet of curiosities, the series gathers essays by scientists, philosophers, artists, and writers examining emerging scientific, technological, and ecological paradigms. Moving between living systems, planetary processes, and multispecies worlds, the books explore how contemporary research and artistic practice are transforming our understanding of life and the future of intelligence.

Across the three volumes, contributors investigate how organisms, machines, and environments are increasingly intertwined—from artificial life and planetary computation to cosmic scale and the perceptual worlds inhabited by humans and other species.

Inside the series: Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3
