Eric X. Li
Eric Li is founder and managing director of Chengwei Capital, an investment firm that backs entrepreneurial companies in the Chinese economy. Prior to founding Chengwei, Mr. Li was a partner of Orchid Asia Holdings, a direct investor in various industries in Asia.
Prior to Orchid, Mr. Li worked for Perot Systems Corporation of Texas, U.S.A. as one of its earliest members. Perot Systems is now one of the leading systems integration companies in the world.
Mr. Li is founder and Chairman of the Equinox (Chunqiu) Institute in Shanghai and co-founder of Dulwich College China, an international school in partnership with Dulwich College of London, a leading British public school, where he served on the Board of Governors. Mr. Li also serves on the Board of Directors of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai and he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive of the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Li is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and is on the China Advisory Board of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Mr. Li was born and raised in Shanghai. He received his B.A. in Economics from University of California, Berkeley and M.B.A. from Stanford Business School. He is a doctorial candidate at Fudan University’s School of International Relations and Public Affairs.
