Sarah Ogilvie
Berggruen Fellow
Sarah Ogilvie is studying “the language of the iGeneration” to discover how those born after 1995 express technology’s impact on their lives at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University where she is also a Linguistics and Social Sciences Research Fellow. Formerly a software developer at Amazon, she received her DPhil from Oxford University and is currently Co-Director of Stanford’s Digital Humanities projects on 19th century crowdsourcing and mapping endangered languages. Her publications include: Words of the World: A Global History of the Oxford English Dictionary (Cambridge University Press, 2013), Keeping Languages Alive: Documentation, Pedagogy, and Revitalization (Cambridge University Press).
