Rajeev Bhargava

Rajeev Bhargava is researching the cultural dialogue between China and India from the perspective of a changing global order at New York University. Formerly the director of the Centre of the Study of Developing Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, he received his DPhil from Oxford and was previously a Fellow at Harvard University. His publications include: What is Political Theory and Why Do We Need It? (Oxford University Press, 2012), The Promise of India’s Secular Democracy (Oxford University Press, 2010), Politics and Ethics of the Indian Constitution (Oxford India, 2009), Secularism and Its Critics (Oxford University Press, 1999), and Individualism in Social Science: Forms and Limits of a Methodology (Clarendon Press, 1992).
